The following are candidates for CUUG's Board of Directors for 2026/2027:
Alan Dewar
Alan first joined the Board of Directors in 1998. He has served in a number
of executive roles in the past, including President.
Mike has been attending CUUG and sparked his long lost passion for
computers while he made a career in Oilfield Services Supply Chain.
He's had a blast rediscovering Unix/Linux and coding and also
loves playing guitar (particularly 80's rock & metal).
Dick first joined the Board of Directors in 2006. He has served as
President and as Secretary-Treasurer in the past.
Following positions at Fluor, IBM & Precision Drilling, Kirk has been
working at TC Energy for the last 10 years. He is passionate about
finding simple solutions to complex problems.
Rebecca first joined the Board of Directors in 2023, and has served as
President and as Secretary-Treasurer. She has been working as a compiler
developer at Black Duck and its predecessor for the past five years.
Previously, she has been the VP Internal of the Electrical and Software
Student body at the University of Calgary. She likes birdwatching,
playing video games (mostly Pokémon!), and is a bit of a process
safety nut.
